Given that Wally's appearance was inspired by televangelists, and that the other Welcome Home characters (with the exception of Howdy, Sally, and Barnaby) are LGBT+ in some way, I don't think Wally would be very accepting of the LGBT+ community. In fact, I think he's trying to hide the fact that he is discriminating against anyone who is different from him. But we're just going to have to wait and see.
